Wiccopee Fire Company Photo Gallery
Excessive rain from a Nor'Easter caused widespread flooding in Dutchess County during the week of April 16TH. With the town of East Fishkill supervisor John Hickman declaring a state of emergency, emergency crews from the Wiccopee Fire Company and the East Fishkill Fire District stood ready to lend assistance to any trapped commuter or homeowner.

Commuters cautiously navigate the roads as the soft ball fields on Route 52 show clear signs of Fishkill creek overflowing its banks.

Many area homes were also flooded, resulting in numerous public service 'pumpout' calls for fire department personnel.

Water is like ants, no matter what you do, it'll always find a way in!

The following images are from a rescue performed by sister company Stormville and EFFD personnel in station 2's area, using EFFD's raft.

Success! 39-62 and the raft packing up.
